Almost Home is located next door to an excellent veterinary hospital, Lake Brandt Veterinary Hospital, with Dr. Jim Lofgren offering consultation and providing excellent service and medical care should it be needed during your pet’s visit. As a convenience, during your pet’s visit at Almost Home we can schedule vaccinations, medical care, or other needs to be addressed by the Veterinary Hospital.

A Dog Trainer is on staff to offer and provide individual or group classes for puppies or for adult dogs. Training can help your pet to adjust socially and be a better member of your family. Our trainer is available by appointment during the day or in the evenings.


At Almost Home during your pet’s visit we offer the following services:
  • Playtime - Can be group or individual
  • Snuggle Time – individual time for pets that do not want to run and play but still need or want special attention and love in a quiet comfortable and peaceful kind of setting
  • Tuck In – a bedtime service that offers a bedtime snack and a goodnight kiss
  • Web cam in Run Area – For an additional charge your pet can be put in a run offering a web cam so you can view your pet on the internet during your time away.
In the Almost Home Retail area we offer the following to make your pet’s stay more fun and enjoyable:
  • Kongs which can be filled with Peanut Butter
  • Purina Dog Food for puppies and Adult dogs 
  • Dog Biscuits
We do offer Sunday Pickup from 4:30-6 by appointment only.
